Infants

8 weeks through 15 months

The primary aim of the infant program is to provide a loving and nurturing environment for our littlest children. These little ones will experience a world of soft colors and soft contours where they can learn about the wonderful world they’ve joined. We’ll read, sing, dance, and laugh with them. We’ll help them enjoy each and every day! Enrollment in this program is very limited, and our wait list is usually significant.

Toddlers and Twos

15 months through 36 months

The Toddlers and Twos program is designed to introduce very young children to the Montessori learning philosophy through play activities designed to encourage their need to explore and discover.

Enrollment in this program is also limited. Children who are accepted into this program must be able to:

Drink from a sippy cup
Feed themselves finger foods
Have only one nap per day
“Toddling”

“Toddling” means that they are walking around without assistance. Parents of children who are already enrolled in the Pre-Primary or Kindergarten programs are encouraged to place younger siblings on the Toddlers and Twos waiting list. Current parents will be given priority when vacancies occur in the group.

Pre-Primary

36 months through 5 years

Montessori Program

Montessori class time is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This time provides the child with individual, small group, and full group activities and lessons. During this time, children use the Montessori equipment and engage in activities specifically designed for their learning in the areas of Practical Life and Sensorial Development; Mathematics, Natural Science, and Social Studies (Geography and History); Language Skills, Art, and Music; Social, Emotional, and Physical Development. Developmentally appropriate educational programs will be used to introduce each child to the use of computers.

Before and After Class Program

Children enjoy the Montessori approach throughout their day. This full service program consists of before and after class activities, as well as soothing rest periods. Some of the offerings include: individual and group interactive play; arts and crafts; music, song and dance; and indoor/outdoor gardening and nature exploration.

Kindergarten

5 and 6 years

The Kindergarten Program is a full day program. Montessori class time is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Traditional Kindergarten class time is from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Morning class time provides the child with advanced activities designed to refine their learning skills in all areas of the Montessori curriculum. Afternoon class time provides the child with more traditional Kindergarten activities. These activities are designed to assist the child in making the transition from the Montessori learning environment to the more traditional group learning environment the child will experience in First Grade.
